A piezoelectric element comprising a piezoelectric crystal of point group 32 and the total molecular formula ABO4 , wherein said crystal is characterized by a frequency shift of the totally symmetric optical phonons mode of the lowest frequency by no more than 15 percent within the temperature range of 20-500 degrees C.
