A toy amusement device for attachment to a participant's foot consists of a pressure responsive signalling device adapted to be activated by being stepped upon and means for attaching the signalling device to the foot of a participant so as to be accessible to an opponent. As described the device consists of a toe pocket 12 which is held on the shoe by straps 18 and an air chamber 14 integral with the toe pocket 12. The air chamber 14 has a sound producing device 16 which emits a sound when the air chamber is stepped upon The air chamber has a flexible top and side walls and a rigid base which may be reinforced by ribs. The sound from one participant's device may be distinguishable from that of the other participant's device. Alternatively the signal device may consist of a light which is energized when the air chamber is compressed, or the chamber may be filled with water or powder which is emitted when the chamber is compressed.
