PURPOSE:To control with high accuracy the gap between a platen and print- head, by allowing instrumental detection of a displacement of stylus between a position in which the stylus hits against a fixed unit and that in which its end against a platen. CONSTITUTION:Fixed unit 27, stylus 29 and dial gauge 24 are installed allowing the stylus 29 to move fore and aft and when the butt-surface 35 rests against the front surface 34 of the unit 27, the end point 38 is so dimensioned and position-adjusted that it is located to take the front position of a print-head. For realizing said adjustment by using this position adjusting apparatus, firstly, this adjusting apparatus is fixed to a head-carrier 5 and a graduation of a gauge 24 is brought to alignment with zero in the situation where surface 35 of the stylus 29 rest against the surface 34 of the fixed unit 27, then the stylus 29 is fed forward to bring the end 38 into contact with a platen 1 and the position displacement is read by the gauge 24 for adjustment. |
