PURPOSE:To permit the confirmation of the sensor operation from outside in case of a facsimile equipment a copying machine by introducing light through a photointroducing means from part of light source which is combined with an image sensor and irradiates light to the original surface, and irradiating the light to the outside of the device through a display part. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber 6 is provided for a body 4 to introduce light from the light source 41. In this case, one edge of the optical fiber 6 is come close to the part where is not related to the irradiation of the original from the light source 41, and the light from that part is introduced to another edge. An oblong window 7 is formed on the side of a device case 1 to display the movement information of the sensor reading along the movement direction of an original reading body 4, and the other edge of the optical fiber is corresponded to this oblong window 7, permitting the irradiation of the light from the light source 41, which is introduced from the optical fiber 6, to outside the device through the oblong window 7.
