PURPOSE:To prevent the breaking of a wire and a defect in lighting from occurring even in case of sue in an environment where humidity is high and temperature condition is inferior by covering the part between terminal parts of an electrode substrate with an insulating film except an effective contacting part for the contact of a liquid-crystal driving control circuit. CONSTITUTION:Transparent conductive films 3 and 4 which form electrodes and insulating films 5 and 6 are formed on the opposite surfaces of two electrode substrates 1 and 2 between which liquid crystal 10 is charged, and oriented films 7 and 8 are formed at a display screen part on said films. The substrates are covered with the insulating film 5 except the effective contacting part 3b so that the contact of conductive rubber 13 connected to the conductive pattern 12 of the liquid-crystal driving circuit substrate 11 conducts to the terminal part 3a of the conductive film 3. Therefore, the insulation of an adjacent terminal part is improved and the breaking of a wire and defect in lighting due to a leak current are eliminated.
