PURPOSE:To obtain a small type scanner with copying function by moving a record paper piled up with an original in a plane surface, separating both, and printing an image signal in which the original is read by a line sensor on the record paper. CONSTITUTION:The piled-up original 10 and record paper 11 are supplied record paper rewinding drum 7 sends the original 10 and record paper 11 together with paper feed drum 8b. The drum 7 pulls the rear surface of record paper 11 through vacuum inhalation and electrostatic attraction and separate it from the original 10 to stick the record paper 11 closely to heat generation part 5 of a thermal printer 4. A signal processing circuit 6 amplifies image signals converted into zero and one by a closely sticking type line sensor 1, digitizes the signal, outputs them to the outside as a facsimile signal, and sends the signals or a signal sent from the outside to the thermal printer 4. The read image or the sent image is copied immediately on the record paper 11.
