PURPOSE:To eliminate the hole elongation and hole sliding of the formed product of a shadow mask, etc. by forming the curved face part of a punch or pad with an elastic nonmetallic substance. CONSTITUTION:A metal die is composed of the punch 19 having about the same projecting curved face shape with the curved face shape of a blank 22 and the pad 20 opposing thereto. It is formed with the state of an elastic body 21 being affixed on a part or whole part of the curved face of the punch 19 or pad 20. A silicon, hard rubber, synthetic resin, etc. having more elasticity than a steel are used for the elastic body 21. The pressing force of the punch 19 is thus absorbed to the elastic body 21 and the materials flow can be controlled without the direct force being applied on the blank 22. The tensile force 23 to be added on the blank 22 is reduced as well and the elongation of the blank 22 is prevented. The elastic body 21 may be formed on the curved face as a piece 24. |
