PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for providing line buffers on a color basis and enable reception of printing data to be easily controlled, by printing a one-line amount of data by starting printing on a color basis. CONSTITUTION:When a color designated for printing data read from a RAM is black, the printing data are made to be block-1 (a), and character patterns read from a character generating circuit 4 are stored into a line buffer 2'. when designation of a different color is contained in the one-line amount of printing data and the designated color is red a processor 1 detects the change from black designation to red designation. With the red designation as a printing-starting command, the character patterns with black designation stored in the line buffer 2' are sent to a printing head 6 through a controlling circuit 5, and are printed. |
