An integrated purification device for the liquid cooling metal of a fast neutron nuclear reactor comprising a vessel with filled liquid metal enclosing the reactor core and a horizontal slab (1) closing the vessel, the purification device (3) comprising : a support and suspension casing (8) resting on the slab (1) via a flange (7) connected to its upper portion and entering the vessel through an aperture (4) extending through the slab (1), the suspension casing (8) being disposed with its axis vertical in its operating position inside the vessel ; tubular metal fibre filtration means (18) disposed coaxially in relation to the suspension casing (8) ; a pump (28) for circulation the liquid metal ; an economizer exchanger (20) for cooling the liquid metal to be purified with cooled and purified liquid metal ; and complementary means (40, 42, 44, 61) for cooling the liquid metal which are disposed in an annular space enclosing the filtration means (18) over their full height and bounded by two coaxial cylindrical walls (8, 42, 60), the suspension casing (8) forming one of the walls bounding the annular space, which contains a heat exchange fluid for cooling the liquid metal at the level of the filtration means (18) and also for cooling the suspension casing (8), characterized in that : - the economizer exchanger is formed by a tube cluster (20) of vertical axis and annular cross-section which is suspended from the lower portion (8c) of the suspension casing (8) coaxially therewith below the annular cooling space, the inlet portion of the economizer exchanger (20) which receives the hot liquid metal contained in the vessel being disposed in its lower positions, - and the pump (28) for circulating the liquid metal is disposed inside the economizer exchanger (20) and enclosed by walls (26, 27, 30) via which it is attached to the economizer exchanger (20) and which bound a space around the pump (28) communicating with the upper portion of the economizer exchanger (20) in which the cooled liquid metal flows.</p>
