PURPOSE:To prevent a display section including letters, pictures, bar cord, etc. of a thin molded item from being stretched, by making a mold for molding the thin molded item up of a specified movable core mold for molding the display section and a mold main body for molding sections excluding the display section. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin sheet (S) formed with display sections S1 is placed on a platen 21, the mold is clamped with the positions of the display sections S1 corresponded with the positions of movable core molds 11 of the mold 10, and knockout 14 is pushed out by a knockout mechanism 20. The movable core molds 11 and movable knockout plates 12 are pushed out from the mold main body 13 so that the movable core molds 11 press the display sections S1 to the platen 21. Cooling water (W) in a circulating path 11 in each movable core mold 11 is circulated to keep the temperature of the display section S1 lower then that of the other sections of the sheet (S). When the knockout mechanism 20 is restored to the original state, and the movable core molds 11 and the movable knockout plates 12 are contained in the mold main body 13, pressure molding can be effected without stretching the display sections S1.
