PURPOSE:To speed up quickly the print speed and to save a memory by using a picture memory storing reception data also as a retention memory storing content of copy at multi-copy. CONSTITUTION:In turning on a start button and a copy key, whether or not multi-copy is executed is discriminated depending on the value of a ten-key. In case of multi-copy, a repeat number (n) is stored in an RAM 52 to convert data from a read section 100 into an intermediate code by an intermediate coder 22 and store it in a picture memory 10. When the data for one page's share of an original is stored in the picture memory 10, the data for one page's share is converted into a video signal by a decoder 45 to drive a laser printer 200. When the print for one sheet's share is finished, the repeat number (n) is decreased by 1 and the operation above is repeated by (n) times. The picture memory 100 is used for the storage of data received from an antenna 300 or a line 400.
