PURPOSE:To obtain light weight vacuum case and assures its safety by closely attaching a thermal compressive sheet to the glass display surface. CONSTITUTION:A thermal compressive sheet 6 is attached closely without wrinkles in such a way as wrapping a vacuum case formed by sealing a panel 2 and a funnel 3 with frit glass. The end of sheet 6 is fixed to the narrow bulb portion of the funnel 3 with ribbon or cellophane tape. Thereafter, the sheet 5 is compressed, being just closely attached to the panel 2. With such structure, micro-crack dose not easily enter the glass due to elasticity of sheet and frequency in generation of concentration of strain is remarkably reduced and destruction of glass case is not easily generated. Accordingly, thickness of glass can be reduced, realizing light weight. |
