<p>This improved rolling stand, of the four-high type, comprises a frame (1) supporting chocks (7) in which rotate two work rolls (4). According to an essential characteristic of the invention, seen in projection on a horizontal plane, the axes (such as Z2) of the work rolls (4) each form an acute angle of pitch relative to the axis (Y-Y) perpendicular to the rolling axis (X-X) and are disposed on either side of the latter. Such a stand for relatively thin sheet strips is intended to be incorporated into a hot-rolling or cold-rolling rolling train, where it permits improvement of the surface evenness and of the uniformity of the thickness in the transverse direction of the sheet. <IMAGE></p> |
