PURPOSE:To prevent disconnection of voltage application terminal during the sealing process by forming the linear sealing part of voltage application terminal of a picture display apparatus. CONSTITUTION:Of component parts of a picture display apparatus, an electron beam flow control electrode 35 and a voltage application terminal 36 are separately formed and moreover the voltage application terminal 36 is provided with chromium oxide processing at the surface. Moreover, the voltage application terminal 36 is provided with the part 38 sealed by glass case formed not linear 39. On the occasion of sealing component parts from the rear electrode 30 to the screen 31 with the glass cases 32, 33, voltage application terminal may be disconnected in some cases due to the difference thermal expansion between bonding frit 34 and voltage application terminal. With such structure, the bending portion absorbs stress due to difference of thermal expansion and disconnection of voltage application terminal 36 is protected. Since chromium oxide processing is carried out to the surface of voltage application terminal at the sealing part, close contactness with bonding frit is assured and resulting in no fear of leakage. |
