<p>PURPOSE:To save fuel consumption of a direct heating furnace for supplying heat to the following reformers in a two-stage steam reformation of hydrocarbons, by carrying out the preheating of the stock hydrocarbons and steam and the preheating of the reformed gas delivered from the former reformer using a specific process. CONSTITUTION:The vapor of the stock hydrocarbon is supplied through the line 1 to the reaction system, preheated in the raw material preheater 13 with steam supplied through the line 2, passed through the desulfurizer 14, and mixed with steam. The mixed vapor is preheated at about 400-500 deg.C in the heat- exchanger 5 with the hydrogen-rich gas discharged from the following hot-steam reformer 7 (the outlet temperature is about 800-900 deg.C) and passed through the waste-heat boiler 8. The preheated mixed vapor is supplied to the former adiabatic low-temperature steam reformer 6 and converted to a methane-rich gas. The methane-rich gas discharged from the reformer 6 is preheated (at about 600 deg.C) in the flue 4 of the heating furnace 3 by the heat-exchange with the flue gas, and supplied to the hot-steam reformer 7. The methane-rich gas is converted to a hydrogen-rich gas having a hydrogen concentration of >=50mol% in the reformer 7.</p> |
