<p>PURPOSE:To make the structure simply to reduce the occupied space, and to smooth the control of variable ratio in the ratio of turn steering angle by coupling a steering gear and a tie rod by means of a swinging lever, and changing the ratio of turn steering angle in response to vehicle speed. CONSTITUTION:A steering gear 4 is coupled to a tie rod 6 by means of a swinging lever 8. The swinging lever 8 is pivoted and supported to a mover 7, and the mover 7 is moved by a motor 13. The ratio of turn steering angle is changed in response to the moving volume of the motor 7. And a controller 14 controls the motor 13 on the basis of a vehicle speed signal from a vehicle speed sensor 15 and a steering angle signal from a steering angle sensor 16 to adjust the ratio of turn steering angle. Accordingly, it is possible to decrease the ratio of turn steering angle to make the stability of running excellent in high speed running, and it is possible to increase the ratio of turn steering angle to improve the sharpness in low speed running. Further, since it is possible to arrange the swinging lever within an engine room in the neighborhood of the tip rod, it is possible to sufficiently ensure the space within a car room.</p> |
