PURPOSE:To provide the titled food containing dried powder and/or extract of SOKUZU (Sumbucus chinensis) as an essential component. CONSTITUTION:The whole parts of the whole grass of SOKUZU (a perennial plant of Caprifoliaceae family) or the overground part excluding the root are dried spontaneously, and finely pulverized. After removing the impurities by simply washing with water, the product is freeze-dried to obtain powder. The powder is heated and extracted with a lower aliphatic alcohol such as methanol, etc., or water under distillation to obtain a concentrated extract, which is used as an essential component of the objective food effective to mitigate the tenosynovitis. The remedying effect can be further improved by adding the dry powder and/or extract of the leaf of carrot compared with the single use of SOKUZU. The daily dose of SOKUZU is 100-10,000mg, preferably 200-500mg in terms of the extract. It can be administered in the form of pill, granule, powder, refreshing drink, etc., especially as a tea. |
