PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of abnormal sound which may be generated by the contact of burrs or the like with opposite parts by forming a dial indicator having guide ribs wider than the width of a rack part so as to be projected from both the sides of the dial indicator body. CONSTITUTION:In the dial indicator 1, the guide ribs 7 having width W2 wider than the width W1 of the rack part are formed on the upper end of a band-like body having the rack part so as to be projected from both the sides of the rack. When the dial indicator 1 is loaded to a dial driving part, the projected burrs of a projection pin part or burrs formed on the surface of a teeth part are not contacted with opposite parts because the guide ribs 7 are contacted with respective opposite parts (a fitting chassis 5 and an operation button 3), so that the dialing device can be prevented from the generation of abnormal sounds due to the burrs. |
