PURPOSE:To improve cleaning performance in normal state, and to weaken the press contact force of a cleaning blade in the abnormal state by moving a supporting shaft in accordance with the frictional force between the cleaning blade and the surface of a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:In the normal state, the center A of the supporting shaft 2 is positioned on the supper part of tangental lines l1, l2 by a spring 9 and strong press contact force is applied to the cleaning blade 1 at its contact point C to obtain efficient cleaning performance. When the frictional force of the blade 1 is increased at the contact point C because of the fixing or the like of toner, the center A of the supporting shaft 2 is moved in the lower direction of the tangental lines l1, l2 along a guide groove 8 by the increased frictional force against the exciting force of the spring 9. In accordance with the movement, the press contact force of the blade 1 at the contact point C is reduced. |
