PURPOSE:To improve a cleaning effect without damaging a electrode by rotating a member for cleaning by using a motion of an arm housing, only in one direction and after a pick-up stylus passes through a rotating center of the member. CONSTITUTION:A pick-up stylus 18 is shifted in the direction of an arrow, slides on a cleaning member 12 which is not rotated, passes the rotation center, and thereafter, by a side wall of an arm housing which holds a pick-up stylus 18, a column part 8a of a fan-shpaed inner gear 8 is pushed away against an energizing of a twisting coil spring 14. The motion rotates a large gear 5 through an one direction gear 7 and saw tooth-shaped teeth 5a and 7a, and a member 12 for the cleaning goes to be a rotating condition. For this reason the pick-up stylus 18 is cleaned effectively from the horizontal direction and the rotating direction of information recording media, and the damage of the electrode is prevented. When the arm housing is shifted in the opposite direction, the fan-shaped gear 8 is pushed away by an energizing force of the coil spring 14, but, the section between the one direction gear 7 and the large gear 5 runs idle, and the cleaning member will not rotate.
