PURPOSE:To prevent the extreme acceleration of vehicle speed even if the running resistance changes to small resistance by making a brake on when the vehicle speed is increased to a fixed value or higher, and making the brake off when the vehicle speed is decrease to given value under the fixed value, during the constant speed running. CONSTITUTION:It is judged by a judging block 3 whether an exhaust brake is operated or not during cruise control. When the exhaust brake is not operated, it is judged by a judging block 4 whether current vehicle speed is larger than V0+DELTAV1 or not. V0 shows target vehicle speed, and DELTAV1 shows increment of the vehicle speed at a downward slope etc. In the case of YES, the exhaust brake is made ON and the cruise control 6 is carried out. In the case of NO, the cruise control 6 is proceeded as it is. When the exhaust brake is operated in the judging block 3, it is determined by a judging block 7 whether the current vehicle speed is smaller than V0+DELTAV2 or not. DELTAV2 shows increment of the vehicle speed. In the case of YES, after the exhaust brake is made OFF, the cruise control is carried out. In the case of ON, the cruise control is proceeded as it is. |
