A method for the introduction of OH, SH or NH2 contng. gps. into organic cpds. R = organic residues, e.g. opt. subst. and opt. unsatd. aryl, alkyl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl, or heterocyclic gps. X = an electronegative atom or gp. capable of stabilising CH2X- carbanions e.g. CN, COalkyl, CO2alkyl, CON(alkyl)2 Z = O, S or NH R' = an organic residue bonded (e.g. as R above) directly or via a Z atom to C=Z R2 = H or an organic residue or R' + R2 may form a cyclic residue. Triethylstanylacetone (5.6 g.) and cyclohexanone (2.08 g.) were stirred 48 hrs. at 25 deg., dissolved in Et2O (3 ml.), (CO2H)2 (1.27 g.) in Et2O (15 ml.) added, refluxed 5 mins., filtered and evapd., giving (1-hydroxy-cyclohexyl)-2-propane (85%), b.p. 48-50 deg./0.03-0.05 mm.
|
