The light from a light source 2 placed behind the viewing plate 7 is channelled by light reflectors 8 and absorbers 9 in order to avoid obstacles 3, then possibly selectively attenuated by an attenuation plate 6 in order to uniformly illuminate the rear face of the display plate 7, and light up the translucent graphics 9 with which it is provided.
