PURPOSE:To display an amount of a winding of a tape and a running direction simultaneously to enhance a space factor by one indicator by selecting and lighting plural displaying elements of an indicator according to an amount of winding of a reel base and successively lighting them according to the running direction of the tape. CONSTITUTION:When a tape is wound on one reel base and run in a direction in which the tape is taken up by the other reel base, H is generated in an output terminal 503 of a tape winding amount detecting means 500, a means 100 is down counted, and every clock signal of a means 200, outputs of AND circuits 36, 34, 31, 28 are repeatedly H, and display elements 42-39 are successively repeatedly lighted. Thereby, by either of the display elements 37-42 being lighted, on which reel base the tape is much wound or similarly wound is readily judged, and according to a direction in which a lighting and a putting out light are done, a running direction of the tape can be easily judged.
