PURPOSE:To reduce the flow resistance of burnt gas on the surface and to increase the number of fins that are planted in a unit heat conducting surface area of the base material by rolling the entire part of a fin to a flat plate whose end is welded to the heat conducting surface of the base material by stud welding. CONSTITUTION:The entire part of a stud fin body 1 is rolled to a flat plate, and the welding surface 2 is formed at its one end which is provided with a rod-like projection 3 in its center. When the present stud fin 1 is welded to the heat conducting surface of the base material by arc welding, the welding is facilitated by the projection 3. When a number of stud fins are installed with the flat face disposed parallelly to the flow direction of burnt gas, the pressure loss of the burnt gas is less for the number of stud fins installed. Further, in comparison to the conventional round column-like stud fins, the number of stud fins in a unit area of the base material heat conducting surface can be increased, contributing to significantly improve the heat conducting efficiency. |
