PURPOSE:To reduce the number of terminals and to minimize the size by using high potential sides among number identification lines to a selection line or terminals in common which identify the number of magnetic bubble memory mounted on the cassett. CONSTITUTION:The number identification signal from a selection circuit 10 is picked up to output terminal lines 7a, 7b through terminals 4, 5 and buffers 12, 13, then the host computer identifies that there are 4 magnetic bubble memory elements 2, 2a, 2b, 2c in a cassette 4. At this time, lines 9c, 9d set try state buffers 14, 15 at a high impedance status as H. With setting the lines 9c, 9d at L, it is so constituted that when a selection signal H is supplied to the selection line 9a, the magnetic bubble memory 2 is selected, and when L is supplied, the element 2b is selected. Likewise, the element 2a is selected when the selection signal H is supplied to the selection line 9b, and the element 2c is selected when L is supplied. In such a manner, the selection signal line and the identification signal line are made in common.
