PURPOSE:To obtain a recording image due to a toner on a recording material by flying of the toner and heat, by applying an AC electric field between a multistylus electrode and a toner carrying means, which faces this electrode through the recording material and is used as a back electrode, to cause discharging. CONSTITUTION:A magnet roll 12 and a multistylus electrode 13 are arranged with a recording paper 9 between them, and a DC bias having the same polarity as a used toner 15 is applied to the magnet roll 12, and an AC pulse voltage having a polarity opposite to that of the toner 15 is applied to the multistylus electrode 13. One applied pulse consists of an AC component, and discharging is caused several times by this pulse. When the recording paper 9 is run and the magnet roll 12 is rotated to form a thin layer of the toner 15 and a picture signal is applied to the multistylus electrode 13, discharging is caused between the magnet roll 12 and the multistylus electrode 13 through the recording paper 9, and a toner image corresponding to the picture signal is formed on the recording paper 9 by flying of the toner and heat due to this discharging. |
