PURPOSE:To transmit information when information exists and to cancel transmission when no information exists by using a transmission information detection means to check the presence of the information to be tarnsmitted when the time designation transmission mode is selected and a designated time comes. CONSTITUTION:When a dial number is written in a memory 34 for time designation transmission, after the dial number is outputted to a signal line 34a, a write pulse is transmitted to a signal line 38i. Thus, the dial number is outputted to a signal line 34d. In selecting the time designation transmission mode as the operating mode in a control circuit 38, a key '2' is depressed in succession to a key 'F' to select the time designation transmission mode. Then the dial number is set in succession to the setting of the time for the time designation transmission. When the transmission mode is selected, 'time designation transmission reservation', 'opposite telephone number' and 'designated time' are displayed on a display section 36. The presence of an original is checked at the designated time and when the original exists, the time designation transmission is executed. When no original exists, the time designation transmission is cancelled.
