PURPOSE:To achieve extremely high gradation printing, by setting the interval between electrode parts to several times the width of each electrode part or a resistor part. CONSTITUTION:At least one resistor part 4 is formed to the surface of a thermal head 3 in the longitudinal direction thereof and a plurality of electrode parts 5a-5h are formed to said thermal head in a state crossing the longitudinal direction of the resistor part 4 almost at right angles. The width A of the resistor part 4 is set so as to be almost same to the width A of each of the electrode parts 5a-5h and each pitch B between the electrode parts 5a-5h is set to a value 4A being about 4 times the width A of each of the electrode parts 5a-5h and that of the resistor part 4. By this method, printing can be performed without generating the clogging of ink and a printing speed can be increased by overlap-printing. |
