PURPOSE:To attain the proper recovery of errors by recording the errors detected within a page to an error information holding part and sending errors produced while the page is printed in the order of higher importance after the printing is through with a page. CONSTITUTION:When the printing is started, an error sensor 10 monitors the actuation of a printer at all times. Then the errors detected by the sensor 10 are recorded to an error information holding part 15-1. When the printing is through with a page, the data are reported to a host computer in response to the prescribed degree of importance in case the part 15-1 contains the error information. While the host computer analyzes 21 the error information and delivers an alarm when necessary. In case the error is equal to the breakdown of a printer, for example, a page confirming part 22 confirms the faulty page. If the power supply thermal is produced during the print of a page (n), a print data holding part sends again the data on the pages (n) and (n+1) to the printer via a transmission data producing part 24.
