PURPOSE:to attain ease of selective operation of both original pictures and to process a picture such as a document original photographic film by providing a variable original pressing means, a means for forming an image of an original to be read for projection and a means for supporting movably the forming means at a proper section. CONSTITUTION:An original platen is arranged on the upper part of a device main body 1 and a document original is placed nad pressed by the switching operation of an original pressing plate. A projection original image forming means 6 is supported slidably on the side face of the main body 1 via a connecting member 5 by means of a support means 4. In case of the document original, the pressing plate 2 is opened to place the original on the original platen. In handling a picture of a photographic film, the means 6 is placed on the said original platen. That is, the means 6 is moveding the arrow A to place it on a position 6'. The light from a light source 11 lights the photographic film 16 in a film support body 15 via an optical system in the means 6. A picture of the film 16 is formed on a Fresnel lens 21 via an image forming lens 18 and reflection mirrors 19, 20. In placing the means 6 on the original platen, the lens 21 is adhered closely onto the original platen.
