摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a stabilized output voltage by a method wherein a cover glass is provided on the light-receiving face of a solar battery element and the transmissivity of light through the cover glass is subject to controlling signals. CONSTITUTION:In a cover glass 8 wherein the transmissivity of light may be controlled by signals from outside, the control of transmittivity of light is effected on the strength of special features of a liquid crystal 10 capable of responding to a voltage applied to an electrode 9. The transmissivity in the absence of voltage is similar to that of ordinary glass. However, it grows lower as the voltage applied to the electrode 9 grows higher. In a solar battery ele ment incorporating this design, a change in transmissivity changes the current to be generated and not the release voltage V0c and the current to be generated is proportional to transmissivity. The output voltage of a solar battery element incorporating this principle may be maintained constant with facility even in the presence of changing loads.
