PURPOSE:To make it possible to facilitate replacement and to miniaturize the titled apparatus, by bringing a thermal transfer film to a cartridge system. CONSTITUTION:When a platen 1 is rotated to the direction shown by the arrow C, the gear 18b coaxial to the platen 1 is also rotated to the same direction and the roll 15b engaged with the gear 18a of a cartridge 14 meshed with the rotation of the gear 18b is rotated to the direction shown by the arrow M. By this mechanism, paper 4 and a thermal transfer film 5 are superposed to the part 3a, where the platen 1 and a thermal head 3 are contacted, to be put therein and, after printing, the film 5 is wound up by the wind-up part of the cartridge 14. The wind-up speed of a roll 15b is automatically adjusted through the slippage at a friction part 16 and the wind-up speed of the thermal transfer film 15 is the same to the feed speed of the paper 4. |
