PURPOSE:To obtain a simple-structure and small-sized optical demultiplexer/ multiplexer whose number of parts is small, by providing a reference rod lens and a total reflection mirror on one plane of a parallel plane light-transmissive plate and arranging rod lenses in individual positions of the other plane except the last position through interference film filters. CONSTITUTION:When the light having wavelengths lambda1-lambda4 is made incident on a port I of a reference rod lens 151, the light having the wavelength lambda1 is demultiplexed and outputted from a port II of a rod lens 152, and the light having the wavelength lambda2 is demultiplexed and outputted from a port III of a rod lens 153, and the light having the wavelength lambda3 is demultiplexed and outputted from a port IV of a rod lens 154, and the light having the wavelength lambda4 is demultiplexed and outputted from a port V of a rod lens 155. When lights having wavelengths lambda1-lambda4 are made incident on ports II-V respectively, the multiplexed output of wavelengths lambda1-lambda4 is obtained from the port I. |
