PURPOSE:To heighten the speed of cut off, by twisting a plurality of wires together to use the twisted wire for a wire saw to forcibly move abrasive grains on the surface of a workpiece. CONSTITUTION:Two or three wires 1 are twisted together so that spiral recesses 2 are made on the twisted wires. Abrasive grains 3 enter into the recesses 2 so that the grains are forcibly moved on the surface of a workpiece 4 as the wires 1 are moved. As a result, efficient grinding by the abrasive grains 3 is performed until the spiral recesses 2 almost disappear. The efficiency of grinding is thus heightened. |
