PURPOSE:To eliminate carrying defects of a developer and to perform good and stable development by press-coating the developer on a developer carrier with an elastic member and providing a rotating fur brush in a developer vessel. CONSTITUTION:A fur brush 36 has two functions. The first function is a toner carrying function, and a toner 35 caught between furs of the fur brush 36 is swept out by contacting a developing roll 37 or the shock of contacting with an elastic blade 38 and is supplied to the developing roll 37. The excessively supplied toner 35 is peeled by the control force of the fur brush 36 itself, and a proper quantity of the toner 35 is stuck to the developing roll 37. In this case, since the toner is flowed into a toner inflow gap formed between the front end of the blade 38 and the fur brush 36 when the fur brush 36 is rotated in the direction of a solid arrow, the formed toner layer is thick; but it is thin when the fur brush is rotated in the direction of a dotted arrow. |
