PURPOSE:To obtain a low-resistance IC socket, by protruding each connecting and switching guide piece from the outer surface of a rotary cam shaft at each contact point, turning the guide pieces together with the cam shaft as a unitary body, and inserting and removing an IC package in and out of aligned holding pieces within the turning locus. CONSTITUTION:U-shaped holding pieces 1a and 2a and the plate surface of a holding piece 5 are held 9 vertically one another and arranged on the right and left sides of a cam shaft 11. Arc shaped projections 3 and 4 are provided on the pieces 1a and 2a. When the cam shaft 11 is rotated couterclockwise, a guide piece 11a on the left line is pushed in between the projections 3 and 4 from the upper side. On the right line, the guide piece is pushed in from the lower side. An open state is provided against elasticity. When the shaft is reversely rotated clockwise, the guide pieces 11a and 11b are removed from the part between the projections 3 and 4. The holding pieces 1a and 2a are returned by elasticity and a closed state is obtained. The holding pieces hold an IC lead, which is inserted in-between, from both sides by elastic pressure. In this constitution, a socket, which can insert and remove an IC package at low resistance, can be obtained. |
