PURPOSE:To prevent seizure and abrasion by applying Sn or Pb powder to the sliding surface of a connecting rod body, and then applying laser light to the sliding surface to be directly alloyed. CONSTITUTION:Pb powder, Sn powder or Pb/Sn mixed powder is applied to a connecting rod body 1 of a connecting rod, bearing surfaces 10. 10 of a cap 4 and a bearing hole 7 to be Al alloyed by irradiation of CO2 laser. Thus, an alloy layer 20mu thick is formed on the sliding surface to be machined. |
