PURPOSE:To enhance the durability and storage stability of a microcapsule, by adding an oil-soluble solvent in a non-hydrophilic microcapsule stock material phase containing a core material and an outer wall forming substance and dispersing the resulting composition in an aqueous phase to form an outer wall before removing the solvent. CONSTITUTION:For example, an oil-soluble solvent, of which the solubility to water is 10% at 20 deg.C, such as pentane, bromoethane or cyclopentane is added to a non-hydrophilic microcapsule stock material phase containing a core material and an outer wall forming substance. This stock material phase is dispersed throughout water to form an outer wall and, thereafter, the solvent is removed to produce a microcapsule. As the outer wall forming substance, an epoxy resin, a polyamide resin, a polyurethane resin, a polyurea resin or a vinyl resin can be pref. used. |
