The multi-strike film ribbon for a typewriter is made of 3 times coated polyester film. A polyester film is first coated with a soln. of polyester resin in a mixt. of toluene methylethylketone and ethyl acetate. The second coating material is prepd. as follows: a mixt. of polycarbonate resin, dioctylphthalate, castor oil, oleaginous coloring dyestuffs and pigments in methylene chloride solvent is powdered, meshed, and heated in water bath at 40 - 50≦̸C for 1 hr. The third coating material is prepd. as follows: a mixt. of plycarbonate resin, colorstaying dyestuffs and pigments in methylene chloride solvent. It is treated the same as the second one.
