PURPOSE:To inspect the shape or the quality of the state of an article at high speed by the simple constitution by performing the collating process of a small amount of data by using a TV camera and a general purpose computer. CONSTITUTION:A bottle 2 or the like set at the position of a bottle detector 4 of a conveyor 1 is picked up by the TV camera 7 and a picture signal is read and stored in the general purpose computer 10 via a controller 9 or the like to which a picture read command is supplied by a preprocessor 8 and a keyboard 12 and a picture for making a master pattern is displayed on a CRT monitor 11. Then, when a binary level of the circuit 8 is decided by operating the keyboard 12 while observing a monitor picture, the desired teaching work of the master pattern is performed. Afterward, when the bottle 2 is detected optically by the detector 4, the conveyor 1 is stopped via the circuit 9 and an image pickup is made by the camera 7 and the computer 10 outputs a rank signal corresponding to the discrimination by comparing with the master pattern part taught to inspect the shape and state of the article at high speed by comparing the necessary part only by the simple constitution. |
