PURPOSE:To obtain a printer which not allow recording in a condition where recording density is low by providing a detection means to detect the density and a control means to inhibit processing on a record when the low density of recorded contents has been detected. CONSTITUTION:PCU1 executes various arithmetic operations corresponding to keys upon receipt of a signal from a keyboard 2, displays the results on a display unit 3 and controls so that an output may be transmitted to a printing unit 5 through a driver 4. The optical density of a record detected by a recording density detection means 6 is A/D converted by an A/D converter 7 and then is input to PCU1. This detected density data to a transmitted to PCU is compared with a predetermined threshold density data and, if higher, continues to be processed. However, if the detected density is lower than the threshold density, such a lower density data is restored into a line buffer and at the same time, a keyed-in input is inhibited, thus inhibiting 'read' operation into the line buffer new. Then a carriage is returned to further indicate on a display unit. |
