PURPOSE:To convert the working program of a 2-axes lathe into another form that is applicable with a 4-axes lathe, by editing the program again for each working unit with use of a production means for a process information table and a production means for a group information table. CONSTITUTION:A 2-axes working program 3 is analyzed for each working unit for production of a process information table GT. While a group information table PT is produced so that the working units are allocated for each turret. Thus the working units that can be executed by two turrets at a time are combined; while the working units that can be executed at a time are executed by the turret at a single side. Then a control signal CS is delivered from a numerical controller based on both tables GT and PT and the program 3. Thus the 4-axes working is possible with high efficiency. |
