PURPOSE:To provide a titled treating liquid which generates patina having a uniform and good color tone and good adhesiveness in a short period by consisting of said liquid of an aq. soln. or suspension contg. an aq. resin, a compd. forming a complex salt with copper ion and a compd. making chelate bond with the copper ion. CONSTITUTION:The treating liquid for film for accelerating patina formation consisting of the aq. soln. or suspension contg. 10-300g/l (in terms of solid content) the aq. resin of acryl-, alkyd-, urethane- or polyester-base and 10-500g/l the compd. such as ammonia water, ammonium salt or amine forming a complex salt with the copper ion and/or compd. such as polyaminocarboxylate including EDTA salt, etc., oxycarboxylic acid including citric acid, etc. and condensed phosphate, etc. is coated on the clean surface of copper or copper alloy and is imediately dried forcibly, by which the film having the effect of accelerating patina formation is formed. |
