PURPOSE:To produce a group of filaments for drawing, free from the mutual welding of the filaments and the internal strain of the filament caused by cooling, by blasting cooling air against the molten and extruded filament group at specific position, direction and flow rate. CONSTITUTION:A filament group molten and extruded through the spinning nozzle 2 is blasted with cooling air at a point downstream of the nozzle face within 50mm from the face. The air is blasted through an air nozzle 3 placed at a point separated from the filament group by >=20mm. The temperature of the cooling air is lower than the melting point of the resin, the direction of air flow is deviated vertically by <=45 deg. from the horizontal direction, and the flow rate of the air is >=5m/sec. The frost line of each filament 4 is controlled to <=200mm from the face of the nozzle 2.
