<p>PURPOSE:To permit the proper power assist corresponding to the operation speed of a handle by feedback-controlling the armature voltage signal generated in an electric motor for generating an auxiliary torque for the signal for controlling the operation of said electric motor. CONSTITUTION:When a steering handle is turned, a relative angular difference is generated between input and output shafts, and the signal VR is made '1' by a torque detector 9 and a torque detecting circuit 33, and the signal VT becomes the voltage value proportional to the relative angular difference. Said signal VT is converted to the pulse signal VP having a necessary pulse width through a differential amplifier 49 and a comparison circuit 48, and supplied into an electric motor 16 through the transistors 43 and 46 selected according to the signal VR. When the electric motor 16 is revolved, an armature voltage is induced between the terminals 47c-47d. The output torque of the electric motor 16 is controlled according to the steering speed by smoothing the above- described voltage through subtraction circuits 50 and 51, OR circuit 52, and an LPF53 and inputting said voltage into the (-)-terminal of the differential amplifier 49.</p> |
