Device for applying the weld supports to the welded joints of metal sheets. The invention relates to a device making it possible to unreel and apply the adhesively mounted articulated weld supports to the welded joints of the metal sheets. It consists of a pay-out device on the frame 14 of which are mounted two parallel flanges 2-18 carrying between them a weld-support-carrying reel 15, a deflector 22 for removing the adhesive protectors, a slideway 7 and a small wheel 23 for paying out the support, a small wheel 4 for applying the support 10 to the welded joint, two knurled wheels 5 for applying the adhesive tape to the sheets 16-19, a joint-tracking device 3 for centring and maintaining the pay-out device along the axis of the welded joint, a grip (crook) 9 and a handle 17 for manipulating the pay-out device. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the application of weld supports for metal sheets, in boiler making, ship building and steel construction work. <IMAGE>
