WORKING METHOD OF ENDLESS BELT BODY

PURPOSE:To form efficiently recesses for oil wells with good accuracy while maintaining the dimensional accuracy of a metallic endless belt by forming a photosensitive layer on the endless belt, irradiating bright and dark light of a prescribed pattern thereto and developing the photosensitive layer then etching said layer. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive liquid 2 which is sensitized to a positive type is coated on the inside circumferential surface of the steel belt 1 and is dried in the case of forming the recesses as the lubricating oil wells to at least one of the belt bodies in contact with each other in the laminated endless belt to be used for a continuous variable speed gear for an automobile, etc. A groove-shaped stripe pattern having the desired shape of the recessed part is separately formed on a photosensitive film and a positive type photographic original plate is made. Such original plate is placed on the photosensitive liquid layer of the belt 1 and is exposed with a UV lamp and thereafter the photosensitive liquid layer is developed and is immersed in an etching liquid to corrode selectively the part where the photosensitive liquid dissolves and to form the recessed grooves 3; thereafter the remaining photosensitive layer is dissolved away by acetone. The steel belt having grooves 3 as the lubricating oil wells is thus produced.
