PURPOSE:To exactly connect a cap with a liquid jet recording unit as well as enable a bias to be exactly absorbed by the contraction of a spring part by providing a spring part to be contracted when a rubber part is pushed brackwards between a cap holder and a cap slider. CONSTITUTION:A suctional recoverer for an ink jet printer is provided with a rubber part 30 to keep an inside space 30A airtight, an absorber 31 of a water absorptive porous material, and a compressive spring 32 to be contracted when the rubber part 30 is pushed backwards and positioned between a cap holder 28 and a cap slider 9. The cap slider 29 and the rubber part 30 can thus be relatively moved in relation to the holder 28. The bias of bilateral positions of the holder 28 and a carriage 2 can be absorbed by the contraction of the spring 32, thereby ensuring the connection of the cap part 27 and a liquid jet recording unit 1 during the sucking process. |
