<p>The foil has two essentially plane-parallel surfaces of which at least one possesses at least partly a metal coating. The metal coating is protected on its metal surface by a sliding film. In addition, the surface facing the metal-coated surface can be protected by a sliding film. The sliding film should possess a maximum constant thickness of 0,5θ over the entire surface. The process for producing a protection for the foil which is provided at least on its surfaces with a metal coating is characterized by the fact that the metal coating is covered with a sliding film. The foil can however also be provided with a sliding film on the surface which faces away from the metal coating. The sliding film can be vaporized, rolled or sprayed on to the foil or be spread on to it by ultra-sound or electrostatically. Subsequently, the foil is wound on to a roll.</p> |
